Local resident and PGA of Canada golf professional Brody Whetham is proud to announce Niagaragolfpro.com Academy has officially opened. Offering private, semi-private, “ladies only” and junior development programs, the golf school aims to introduce new people to the game and help existing players improve their skills.
Golf lessons and registration have begun in Virgil, at the Niagara Sports Practice Center (Highway 55, south of the NOTL airport) and Sparrow Lake Golf Club in Welland.
For several years it has been a goal for Brody to start his own golf school to share his passion for the sport. With a PGA level 3 Teaching & Coaching Certification (TCCP) and over 18 years of experience, Brody brings a wealth of knowledge and proficiency for the game. After winning several Niagara district PGA tour events, Brody has been a popular name on the local golf scene for many years. His academy is a welcome addition to the region because it’s the only program of its kind in the area. It offers a fun and an informative atmosphere for players of any level to enjoy. His philosophy is about having a good time while learning and improving your game.
Brody believes every golf experience should be a positive one. “Golf should be fun. I try to make sure people have a good time, leave with a smile on their face and more importantly, look forward to the next time they play.”
Ladies group lessons are being offered 8 times a week throughout the spring & summer months. Private and semi-private lesson bookings are available daily.
The junior golf program will begin in May and will help teach kids the proper etiquette, rules, history and traditions of the game. It is his belief that the Academy will improve children’s life skills through self-esteem, integrity, sportsmanship and responsibility. Past student & single digit handicapper, Jeremy Wickman says “Brody is a fantastic instructor. He makes it easy to understanding your game. Go see this guy – you won’t be disappointed!”
